Xzavion West, Men's Track and Field

West opened his month by placing high twice at the St. Ambrose Frigid Bee Opener.  The senior won the shot put (49-10.5) and was second in the weight throw (56-7).

He followed that up by placing seventh in the shot put in a deep field at the Iowa Jimmy Grant Alumni Invitational.  His toss of 53-6.25 hit the national-qualifying provisional standard.
