Statesmen of the Week: Destynd Loring and Angie Wolfert

Statesmen of the Week: Destynd Loring and Angie Wolfert

Oskaloosa--Football player Destynd Loring (Sr., Charleston, S.C., Sports Management) and shotgun sports athlete Angie Wolfert (Sr., Waterford, Wis., Nursing) have been named Statesmen of the Week for September 8-14.

Loring accounted for 224 of the 334 total yards for the Statesmen against Baker. The senior carried the ball 26 times for 203 yards and scored three touchdowns. He also hauled in three receptions for 21 yards.

Wolfert excelled at the Simpson Invitational on Saturday and Sunday, earning Female High Overall Athlete honors, shooting 326 out of 350. Her performance helped the navy and gold take home first place with 1678 out of 1750 clays.
