Statesmen of the Week: Marquis Harry and Joceline Martinez

Oskaloosa--Football player Marquis Harry (So., Pompano Beach, Fla., Business Management) and women's volleyball player Joceline Martinez (Sr., Orange County, Calif., Psychology) have been named the Statesmen of the Week for the week of October 20-26.

Harry paced the William Penn defense in last Saturday's 45-21 win over Clarke.  Not only did he top the unit with eight tackles (all solos, two for loss), he also returned an interception 88 yards for a touchdown.  It is his second 'Pick Six' in as many weeks.

Martinez was a force on both the offensive and defensive sides of the net last week.  In last Tuesday's win over Mount Mercy, the senior had four kills on a .300 attack clip, while also tallying seven block assists.  Four days later versus Grand View, she produced a squad-best seven kills (.417 attack percentage) alongside one solo block and six block assists.
