A new-look William Penn men's basketball team will hit the hardwood for the 2024-2025 season as the program looks to get back to being a league contender.

Head Coach John Henry, who is in his 24th season at the helm of the Statesmen, will be guiding the navy and gold after a tough 2023-2024 campaign in which WPU went 6-22 (5-19 Heart).

Much of the roster is new, but leading the small group of returners is Manny Hammonds (So., Des Moines, Iowa, New Media) who was the Heart's Freshman of the Year last season.

Hammonds averaged 10.2 points per game and knocked down 54 three-pointers.

Justin Bradley (Sr., Okinawa, Japan, Biology), who averaged 5.1 points in 22 games played, and Marcellus Bryant (So., Inglewood, Calif., Exercise Science), who tallied 22 assists in 16 games, also return to the hardwood.

Headlining the long list of newcomers is the trio of Roy Jones Jr. (Sr., Pensacola, Fla., Psychology), Malique Oates (Sr., Huntsville, Ala., Sports Management), and Isaac Hoberecht (Jr., Carl Junction, Mo., Business Management).

Schedule/Conference:
William Penn begins the campaign Friday against IU Kokomo as part of the Governors State Classic.  The Statesmen will open their home slate next Tuesday, November 5 against Northwestern, while the Heart campaign begins November 13 in Oskaloosa versus Mount Mercy.
