Three Statesmen Earn Scholar-Athlete Honors

Oskaloosa--A total of three Statesmen men's basketball players were honored for their excellence in the classroom as they were named 2025-2026 Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athletes.

Jorge Serrano Munoz (So., Madrid, Spain, Mechanical Engineering) leads the navy and gold with a 3.98 Grade Point Average entering this spring.

Easton Nash (Sr., Shreveport, La., New Media) is next at 3.69, while Alif Bass (Jr., Newark, N.J., Sports Management) is closely behind at 3.61.

Nash is a two-time honoree, while Munoz and Bass are first-time winners. 

To be eligible for the award, athletes must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or above on a 4.0 scale, have attended the nominating institution for one full year prior to nomination, and must appear on the sport's eligibility paperwork.
