Baliva Picked for First Career Heart Weekly Honor

Oskaloosa--Collin Baliva (Sr., St. Louis, Mo., Industrial Technology) guided the Statesmen to a big league win, and for his efforts he was named Heart of America Athletic Conference Men's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week Monday.

Baliva won the first award of his career after leading William Penn to a victory over St. Ambrose last Saturday.

In the win, the senior notched six ground balls and recorded three caused turnovers as the Fighting Bees were limited to just seven goals.  He also succeeded on the offensive end with two goals and two assists.

For the year, Baliva currently has a team-high 71 ground balls in addition to 11 caused turnovers.  He has also tallied seven goals and eight assists in 2024.

The award is the seventh of the year for WPU.
