West Named POW for Second Time This Year

Oskaloosa--Xzavion West (Sr., Guthrie, Ky., Psychology) recorded a pair of big throws, and for his efforts he was named Heart of America Athletic Conference Men's Field Athlete of the Week, presented by 516 Sports Capital.

West garnered his second weekly award of the season (third of his career) after posting two high finishes at the Grinnell Invitational last Saturday.

The senior won the weight throw at 58-11.25 and was second in the shot put at 50-6.75.

West currently leads the conference in both events.

The award is the second for the Statesmen this season.
