Knowles II Jumps Way to POW Award

Oskaloosa--Nicholas Knowles II (Fr., Nassau, Bahamas, Business Management) locked down a high placing last weekend, and for his efforts he was named Heart of America Athletic Conference Men's Field Athlete of the Week Monday, presented by 516 Sports Capital.

Knowles II garnered his first collegiate POW accolade after guiding William Penn at the Grinnell Darren Young Classic.

The freshman's day was highlighted by taking second in the triple jump at 45-1.  He was also ninth in the high jump at 5-10.75.

Knowles II currently ranks eighth in the Heart in the triple jump, and is also in the top 30 in the high jump (5-10.75) and long jump (20-4.5).

The weekly honor is the fifth for WPU this season.
