Beallis Garners Second-Team All-America Laurel from AVCA

Oskaloosa--Britten Beallis (Jr., Naperville, Ill., Sports Management) was rewarded for an outstanding season as the America Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) announced its 2025 NAIA Men's Volleyball All-America teams Monday.

Beallis was named to the Second Team, one of 12 individuals who were selected to that squad.  An additional 12 players were awarded First-Team honors, while Honorable-Mention status was given to 11 student-athletes.

Now a two-time AVCA All-American, Beallis also collected Second-Team status a year ago.

The junior helped William Penn to a 16-11 record this spring, including a 13-6 mark in the Heart of America Athletic Conference.

Beallis concluded the campaign with 238 kills (2.43 per set) on a team-best .425 attack percentage.  He also topped the Statesmen with 107 blocks (22 solos, 85 assists), while managing 49 digs, 11 aces, and nine assists as well.

Beallis reached double figures in kills on 10 occasions with a high of 18 twice.  He also tallied at least five blocks in nine separate matches (high of nine).

Braden Von Groningen of The Master's (Calif.) was named AVCA NAIA Player of the Year, while teammate Max McCullough was tabbed as Newcomer of the Year.

Tom Ryan of Saint Xavier (Ill.) garnered the Coach of the Year award, while Assistant Coach of the Year accolades went to Ricardo Gehrke of Lawrence Tech (Mich.).
