Statesmen Compete at Missouri Valley Open

Marshall, Mo.--Cameron Hargrove (So., Bolingbrook, Ill., Undecided) won four matches en route to placing as the William Penn men's wrestling team battled at the Missouri Valley Open Saturday.

Hargrove went 4-2 at 149 pounds, including defeating three foes by technical fall as he placed sixth at the Open.

157-pounder Steven Skewes (So., Duchesne, Utah, Exercise Science) and 165-pounder Preston Wiest (Sr., Troutsville, Va., Biology) each claimed a pair of falls, while Maxwell Diaz (Jr., Miami, Fla., Sports Management) also pinned one opponent at 285 pounds.

125-pounder Brendan Nantz (So., Tipton, Iowa, Industrial Technology) had his hand raised once Saturday as well.

Next Up: William Penn travels to Pella next Tuesday to face Central in a non-conference dual meet at 7 p.m.
