Hargrove Garners Honorable-Mention Status

Oskaloosa--Cameron Hargrove (Sr., Bolingbrook, Ill., Sports Management) notched another league award as the 2024-2025 all-Heart of America Athletic Conference men's wrestling teams were announced Monday.

Hargrove collected an honorable mention after finishing third at 165 pounds at last weekend's Heart Championship.  The top three individuals at each weight earned all-league recognition with first-team honors going to the champion, second-team laurels going to the runner-up, and honorable mentions being given to the bronze finisher.

The laurel is the third in Hargrove's career.  Last weekend's bronze netted him his fourth trip to the NAIA National Championship.  He enters nationals with a 19-5 record, headlined by two falls, eight technical falls, and one major decision.

Aden Reeves of Grand View was named Heart Wrestler of the Year, while his teammates Cam Robinson (Newcomer) and Gabe Gonzalez (Freshman) also received top honors.  Justin Schlecht of Dickison State was tabbed as the Heart's Head Coach of the Year, while Paul Reedy of Grand View earned the Assistant Coach of the Year accolade.
