High Strikeout Tally Leads Huff to Award

Oskaloosa--Chelsey Huff (Sr., Douds, Iowa, Exercise Science) put on a strikeout clinic last weekend and her efforts were noticed as she was named Heart of America Athletic Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week Monday, presented by Musco.

Huff notched her second career pitching laurel (both this year) after posting two impressive outings at the Dordt Dome Tournament last weekend.

The senior's week started with a career-high 15 strikeouts against Hastings last Friday.  Huff also limited the Broncos to just two hits in a complete game shutout.

She continued to pile up the strikeouts with nine more the following day in a 4 1/3-inning performance versus Mount Marty.

Huff is currently 4-2 this year with a 3.85 Earned Run Average in 36 1/3 innings.  She has tallied 52 strikeouts (10.0 per seven innings) against 13 walks and has three complete games to her credit.

William Penn now has won four weekly awards in 2025.
