Trio Named NAIA Scholar-Athletes
Oskaloosa--Three members of the William Penn women's track and field team earned recognition for their academic accomplishments by being named 2024-2025 Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athletes.
Leading the group was Allison Read (Sr., Austin, Texas, Exercise Science), who achieved a 3.96 Grade Point Average entering the spring semester.
Not far behind were Lilly Ostert (So., Madrid, Iowa, Exercise Science) with a 3.87 GPA and Briana Admire (So., Galesburg, Ill., Biology) with a 3.72 GPA.
This marks Read's second time earning the award, while Ostert and Admire are receiving the honor for the first time.
To be eligible for the award, athletes must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or above on a 4.0 scale, have attended the nominating institution for one full year prior to nomination, and must appear on the sport's eligibility paperwork.
