Ogunsanya Claims First Heart Honor

Oskaloosa--Christianah Ogunsanya (Fr., Akure, Nigeria) enjoyed a masterful debut last weekend, and for her efforts she was named Heart of America Athletic Conference Women's Wrestler of the Week Monday, presented by Musco.

The freshman collected her first weekly laurel by going 4-0 at the Indiana Tech Open last Saturday.

At the Open, Ogunsanya was not scored upon, defeating all four of her opponents by identical 10-0 technical falls.  She took care of a defending NCWWC national runner-up in the semifinals and beat her own teammate, who is also ranked No. 2 in the nation, in the finals.

For the year, Ogunsanya is 4-0 with four technical falls.

The award is the second for WPU this year.
