Kolawole’s Perfection Leads to League Honor

Oskaloosa--Esther Kolawole (Fr., Akure, Nigeria, Kinesiology) was untouchable last weekend and was rewarded for that domination on Monday as she was named Heart of America Athletic Conference Women's Wrestler of the Week presented by Musco.

Kolawole garnered her first career award after sprinting to a crown at the Grand View Open last Saturday.

The freshman 138-pounder went 5-0 at the Open with all five victories coming via technical fall.  She outscored her opposition 51-0 and defeated two ranked foes en route to the gold.

For the year, Kolawole has a 10-0 record with nine technical falls to her credit.

WPU now has three awards this year.
